Kim Storm has been working on eliminating duplicated display code in
the src/x*.[ch], src/w32*.[ch],
and src/mac*.[ch] files (read
the emacs-devel mailing list for details). As of today,
the code in the CVS still builds without any problems. However please
be aware that the code will be undergoing rather substantial changes
in the next few days.
