Just like to say “Merry Christmas” (or “Happy Holidays”) to all the readers of my blog.

I’ll be taking time off between now and the New Year from programming. Among the things I will do is I’ll read The Machine Crusade in what they now call the Legends of Dune series. Will report back on my impression of it.

Will also be roasting a turkey a new way according to an American's Test Kitchen recipe. Haven’t try brining before. Will also report back on whether it works.

I’ll probably be back writing about programming some time in January. I love writing about programming. But doing so also slows it down. Since I’ve never found the need to ask people questions when I design and implement my programs, I also sometimes like to not discuss the project I’m currently working on. The ports of Emacs were done this way. We will see...
