MyJazzBand Application and Document Icons

Wednesday March 16, 2005

I’ve been thinking about what to call my accompaniment generation application. I thought about calling it EMACS, for Extendible Musical Accompaniment Construction Set. But that acronym seems to have been taken by some other program :-). Anyway the name isn’t appropriate yet since Python routines for extending and customizing its generative procedures haven’t been implemented. Also thought about the name Outside the Box, but that’s a little too cute. Thought about the name MyBand (Eminem :-) ?) but finally settled on MyJazzBand.

Spent the whole day working on two icons for the application. They’re no work of art but they’re my own original creation. I like the idea of handling all aspects of the application myself, creative or otherwise. Unfortunately there are many things I can’t do as well as programming. In any case here are the icons.
