Caring for indoor plants has always seemed like a science experiment to me. Do I water a plant too much? Do I water it too little? Does it get enough sun? ...
At least if you arent sure about how much to water, a moisture meter will help.
Speaking of science experiments, youve seen it done on the gardening shows on TV all the time: plants are propagated from cuttings. I got some rooting hormones yesterday
and took a few tip cuttings from my dieffenbachia. Perhaps Ill let you know whether this actually works in real life in a few weeks!

This is the only peony I have that I didnt plant myself: it was here in my yard when I moved in. After a lot of tender loving care, its finally resumed a nice form. No wonder they say peonies can live for a very long time.
Heres a close-up of one of its flowers.
Heres a flower on another of my peonies called Dandy Dan. Pretty nice dark red, isnt it?
